I heard they track all of your activity across apps. It is in the user agreement. Might be worth looking into.

I've been using mine primarily for reading and taking notes with bookmarks. Been great to keep the font and size the same between books and have a paper-like reading experience. I haven't delved too much into ebooks until now. Planning to use it for more, however haven't figured out a stand and keyboard setup for it yet.

I think that may been some confusion by someone misreading their privacy policy.
Something that I want to look into is installing other operating systems. Andriod based OS seems okay so far. Emacs and Krita are both available on Andriod, so writing, programming and etc could work. However, Debian or Arch might be good options too.
