Nobody knows how automatic transmissions work they are a black box, even the engineers just throw a bunch of gears and solenoids together and it's black magic to even them

This is accurate. Took one apart one time because I consider myself rather handy. I bought a rebuilt one the next week to replace it lol

I can swap a transmission out in an afternoon, but I will not be opening any more of them up.
