Stunning! The stain is even and rich, I am certain that it took quite as much time as the actual carpentry, lighting, and installation. Excellent!

I ended up using walnut laminate for the risers and oak wood for the treads, to contrast the laminate flooring I put in upstairs. A bit unorthodox, but it works.
