No seriously, an election ever 5 years & able to speak in French or English. After that the state has me, compared to some nation states its rather free. No conscription, a top 10 fiat that doesn't devalue too quickly, lots of natural resources and water lifes not horrible.

Oh yes I love it here too. Where I will go to jail for defending myself against an intruder in my own home. Where the government protects us from peaceful protests by arresting, trampling and freezing bank accounts of the protesters. Where I'm offered MAID if I'm sick. Where owning firearms is mostly banned. Where I go to the emergency room with my child and wait 8hrs to see a shitty doctor. Where my Premier put fences around churchs and the community didn't do a damn thing. It's so great.
Canada is beautiful, has many natural resources, and it isn’t too bad yet if you compare it with poor countries.
Unfortunately, it has things that will fails by design like the health system and too many social programs.
Cuba was beautiful in 1959 too, go back and take a look now.

I am a pessimistic insitutionalist, who prefers exploiting the wealthfare state. Liberal democracies drift toward socialism, I have my exit plan as the majority will always vote for their own pocket and one day they will ask for mine.
