it's all public data anyways, except for the encrypted DMs. the FBI can monitor paid or public relays and harvest all of our data very easily.

ultimately, if you think someone is a bad actor, you have the option to run your own relay software yourself and be in charge of your data. nowhere else can that happen with little technical debt. that's what makes nostr unique and powerful.
