Covert plot lines and dialogue to get you to subconsciously accept certain narratives that will be pushed out. For example in 3 Body Problem, all knowing, big state is here to keep all of us safe, trust the science experts because they are super smart and went to a good school, belief in God is superstitious, the intel agent is just a good civil servant working to save humanity. Those are just a few.
