I love when people dismiss bitcoin because they think it’s “imaginary money,” not even realizing that it actually is money you can store in your imagination and still use later.

One day I’ll have a hat I can use to thought-zap people walking down the street

I spent 15 minutes describing the fiction of fiat to my normie job colleagues. In most cases, the “money” is never even possessed by any of us. It simply moves between financial institutions as “loans” we make to them, reflected as balances on our behalf.

Or when they say “bitcoin is too slow to use as money,” not realizing that it has final settlement in less time than it takes to microwave a potato, meanwhile banks have three months to claw back credit card payments.

Not realizing that the real imaginary money is their US dollars

Ironically, they simply lack imagination.

Whereas ‘real’ money has imaginary value that can be stored in the real world and loses value over time 😅

Nostr is imaginary also

This is an imaginary message

Wake up

To what?

When I explain it, first complaint is volatility 😕

Tell them bitcoin isn’t volatile, people are.

I think I’m not good explaining, they think they will risk money, everybody I know prefer to save in dollars, I think I need to study more to prepare a good speech 😕

It lives in our mind. 💜
