#Bitcoin Question on a low fee UTXO in high fee environment.

If I send at 1 sat/vB will that transaction sit in mempool as long as it takes for fees to come down and clear?

OR

In the same scenario will that UTXO eventually return to the original wallet after a period of time (number of blocks)?

I see on mempool.space a metric labeled "purging" with a low sat/vB beneath it
