Once upon a time I was an online poker pro.
One of the biggest lessons from those days was how to psychologically deal with volatility. It is incredibly difficult to avoid tilt and maintain confidence in your game when all the feedback you're getting from the world is that what you're doing isn't working.
I think my worst run was down ~60 buyins (which is alot if you know poker) despite having one of the highest winrates in the world. Getting back to even was a 2 month grind where you're just getting your teeth kicked in every single day.
The key to maintaining sanity and confidence in my game was letting go of expectations and accepting the losses. And then just focus on learning and trying to rediscover the love for the game. It's a humbling process.
And then sometime later, after you've entered that better frame of mind and are slowly crawling out of the hole, suddenly a massive winstreak will hit you. And it will be overwhelming, because you have almost forgotten what it feels like to be on the _good end_ of variance.
Bitcoin has felt similar to me. You have to find a way to remain convicted when the price crashes. And if you're able to reframe your mental state to basically staying humble and stacking sats, then one day the price will soar again to levels you've forgotten was possible (emotionally and realistically).
But it will not be when you're expecting it.
