Gun rights are actually property rights. If you say that some weapons shouldn't be available to people, you're saying that there is a list of property items that people shouldn't have.
And you put that list in the hands of the government hoping they won't expand it unreasonably?
And going a step further, property rights are the most basic and necessary of human rights.
