Its a Unix system with the usability that your grandmother can use. The year of the linux desktop crowd has been trying that for the last 3 decades.
It's legit unusable though. You can't go to a folder without memorizing a hot key

I mainly use terminal on macOS. The open command is the equivalent of xdg-open.
