He signed NSAM 263, calling for a WITHDRAWAL from Vietnam.
Then, literally the day after KENNEDY’s funeral, on 11/27/63–Lyndon B. Johnson signs NSAM 273 (drafted by Bonesman McGeorge Bundy the day BEFORE JFK’s assassination).
NSAM 273 reversed JFK's plan regarding Vietnam.
Result?
ESCALATION IN VIETNAM. NO WITHDRAWAL.
