I haven't read it myself but all the reviews and understanding what's generally in there makes me think it will be an approachable non-tech heavy, and non-econ heavy book. She's a history person anyway so that's a bonus too

She’ll be fine. It’s a solid book on a few levels. The stories of the tech leading up to Satoshi was really well done.
If she likes history. Lords of Easy Money would be a good book to suggest.
