These people that are on government money and saying these cuts are bad are not being fully truthful:

1) Anything obviously harmful will be likely brought back - nothing wrong with that

2) If it's so important then get a charity, consumers or state governments to pay for it. If it's as important as you say - this is a likely option

3) People don't watch government spending like they watch their own - a key advantage that all these various groups are taking advantage of - that alone is a good reason to be leery of funding anything with the federal budget. Should be as close to zero as possible
