My recipe is cup of hot water, one big spoon (or more) of any grated soap into it, half spoon of washing soda later - it will make kinda goo. That's it. Rinse in a bit of white vinegar, the smell should all leave during drying.
But if you have oily stains, rub dry hard soap into them first. Or smear this goo onto them and let sit for a while.
