they aren't only for clotting
i'm sure you've seen photos of the clots themselves and know they are made out of self-assembling graphene oxide nanoparticles, and they form such a size they can recieve radio frequency energy pretty much at the entire microwave spectrum, like 70mm down to millimetre waves, which are going to catch the most energy as they will be found in fine capillaries
if we have another carrington event these people are going to spontaneously combust
