I felt there was something “not right” about where society is going, but now I have insight into the role fiat money plays on all of humanity. A physicist by the name of Alan Sokal had long suspected that most humanities’ scholarship was nonsense, so he chose to test this theory himself by submitting a paper of incomprehensible gibberish for publication at a leading journal of critical studies. 60 The paper was accepted for publication. These are the same journals in which publication is necessary for academics to keep their jobs and advance in their career.
