An always-on Lightning address is somewhat harder to do with self custody. You can use nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 with the embedded node as well as run your own node and point your nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm address to it. Zeus also has an on-chain wallet, but (as with any node) it’s a hot wallet, so not the wisest choice for long-term HODLings.

Other options for self custodial Lightning are nostr:npub1mutnyacc9uc4t5mmxvpprwsauj5p2qxq95v4a9j0jxl8wnkfvuyque23vg, Phoenix, Blixt, and Breez.

For on-chain you can look at nostr:npub1jg552aulj07skd6e7y2hu0vl5g8nl5jvfw8jhn6jpjk0vjd0waksvl6n8n Jade, COLDCARD, and a few other bitcoin-only hardware signing devices like Foundation Passport and BitBox.

very helpful thanks πŸ™ now i'm thinking i should forget about lightning self custody and keep it with alby and then have self custody for on-chain.

about on-chain, if i used bluewallet on an offline phone like this: https://youtu.be/f-8elm8xCLs is this the same level of security assuming no one gets his hand on the physical device?
