Amethyst. Or is there a difference between 'tipping' and zaps?
Typically zapping happens through a wallet that supports zaps (NIP-57) so the clients can fetch the receipts. Eg. on Damus you can zap a note (older builds) or a profile.

Zap receipts get broadcasted to a set of relays - perhaps you’re not connected to any of those - can you see any zap amount under my previous note? Otherwise maybe there’re settings to enable zap notifications (I’m not on amethyst) 🤔
