FYI to new Nostriches. If you see someone posting with a @mostr.pub Nostr address and they don't follow anyone or have any followers, they're not really on Nostr. You're seeing their notes via a Mastodon (Fediverse) bridge.

It's probably one way? And does seem to be flowing at all times

I believe it's two way.

It is two way. The people using it can both send post to nostr and receive post from nostr.

At least one set of Fediverse software is planning to be fully dual network soon.

I'm. Interested in that, which one?

Soapbox / Rebased. Main dev Alex (developed and hosts the mostr bridge)is very interested in nostr.

I just discovered that minutes ago lol

You are why I posted this 😂

I'm like 'who told these people this is Mastodon!?' 🤣 then I googled and found bridges.

It's been around for a while but Mastodon, just like Nostr, is experiencing some growth because of Twitter's downfall.

good to know

Gross

How can I filter out the bridge?

God if only.

No client has the ability to mute or hide content from entire Nostr addresses yet.

Pretty sure a client could have simple substring filters

So the closed platforms will port their users to nostr for us and freedom lovers will be able to rip on them but they wont know about freedom land.

English please. Lol.

I hate that they don't see our posts but we have to see thier shit.

They see replies though, right? Or am I wrong there?

Not entirely sure I've heard they do and they don't.

Thanks for the explanation..👍
