we were trying to get to know them. in they end, they decided we weren't their kind of organization (too independent and principles driven). that's probably a good thing in the long run even though we stayed poorer (relatively speaking) as a result.

and unlike Buffett, CK seems to want to control what he acquires.

Well he’s getting old…

but if he's instilled a way of doing things it will probably continue. at least Buffett's son understands the buy but don't interfere mindset.
