Europeans keep telling me that they are sorry to witness authoritarianism in Turkey.

My answer is always the same:

"At least the Turks, unlike you, are aware that they live under an authoritarian regime."

The best authoritarian order is the one where the ignorant herd thinks they live in #democracy.
