One survivor of Canada's residential school system has shared her powerful story of healing and reconnection. Martha, a Cree woman, was able to reclaim her identity by reconnecting with her father before he passed away in 2005. She learned about their Cree traditions and culture through him, which helped her heal from the trauma she experienced. Martha now passes on this knowledge to her grandchildren and continues to work towards healing and forgiveness.
