I have a few questions.

Is there absolute free speech on Damus?

If not, what are the general rules regarding allowed speech?

Lastly, in the future, will Damus oblige to government ordered censorship?

Damas, the apple app, does censor posts that were reported by other users.

I once found a sexy video clip from Onyx.Vixen, then later went to show it to my husband but couldn’t find it. He found it on his own using his Android phone and found that it had been reported for nudity a bunch of times (the video didn’t even have actual nudity). So I went and scrolled through his Amethyst version, compared it to my Damas version and his showed like 10 sexy posts that didnt show up on mine at all.

He googled it and found out that Apple censors Damas even though #nostr doesnt.

Amethyst is pretty much Damus for Android right? And is there a way to access Nostr outside of apps downloaded through the google and Apple Store? Sounds like once that can be accomplished there would be absolute free speech.

Yes, assuming the next client you use does not censor. And some of those alternative clients have nice perks to them like trending pages and whatnot (I think that one was primal). I was given the hint to use Alby if I wanted to use web-based clients so I wouldnt have to trust said client with my nsec.
