In film school I took a French film class but I didn't realize the professor would teach the class in French. The first day we watched Belle de Jour. And the was a moment when she said "je ne sais pas" and the subtitles said "I don't know" and that was the only French I learned. Whether my professor called on me after that I would answer "je ne sais pas"
