Non custodial lightning is hard to achieve. Only a very small group is still focused on that at all.
‚Fun and learning‘ is still left but freedom, privacy or self-custody isn‘t around anymore … at least not in an amount or scale I and most expected it in 2019-2020.
freedom and privacy always matters. But I understand your point of view
I use lightning daily (mostly around nostr… and for fun and education) and I love it in a way but can‘t stop criticizing it as it sucks big at the same time.
All together it gives me more headaches than freedom.
I pay for most things onchain. More reliable, more security, more privacy.
