We don't check for it, but it would only abuse pool resources. Those devices can't mine. Not even in 2009 with a time machine

Understood as far as the relative futility of the hashpower.

When you say abuse pool resources, do you mean that it would unfairly draw from the pool rewards by “contributing” (with no chance of actually helping anyone), or that from a logistics, tech, or administrative view it would just create more headaches?

New to mining here (and waiting on some real rigs) so I appreciate the insight 🙏
