The Americans were famous for their good teeth, height, and muscles, but young Germans have never heard of this.
One of the first times Lady H and I ventured abroad together was to Heidelberg back in the early 80s. No planning, couldn’t speak a word of German, ferry and train. Managed to find a room in a pension when we got there. My Memories are drinking lager in the student bars and a couple of American servicemen walking up to the castle. Great days.
Maybe we passed each other on the pedestrian zone.
