When you say sidechain what are you talking about?
Something like Liquid, I believe it’s a sidechain
Have not looked into liquid.
My main focus is just keeping it as simple as possible and stacking sats. I really only care about the base layer right now.
Beyond that i think layers/sidechains could have a big impact for the future. But they could also be replaced in 5-10 years with something better.
Base layer will not be replaced, so my energy is mostly there.
Lightning is cool though. I don’t keep many sats on it however
Same here. My main focus for me is also the main layer.
I love Lightning and it has been really good for me to have had so much exposure to it via Nostr.
As for Liquid, I find it intriguing to be able to have a form of second layer BTC that can be self-custodied with a hardware wallet.
What I don’t want are any unnecessary hard forks or any superfluous upgrades that compromise the base layer. Base layer integrity should remain the main priority.
