I just learned some hilarious history.

A very interesting, though probably delusional (who am I to judge?) Jewish mystic named Abulafia believed he had a mission to convert the Pope to Judaism. This was like 800 years ago.

The Pope learned that Abulafia was on his way to the Pope's summer residence and sent him a letter, saying that he was indeed welcome and a they had prepared a nice pile of wood, upon which he would be burned.

Abulafia wasn't deterred though, and continued on his mission. Right before his arrival, the Pope died.
