Finally playing with obsidian today… super impressed, but the extremely shitty options for sync feel like an intentional lock-in strategy for a software that claims to be open.

I should clarify that this is most relevant for mobile, but I’m not going to use a notes app that can’t sync to effectively mobile in 2023
iOS or Android? I sync my notes through iCloud w/o paying to Obsidian and it works great. I believe there is a similar approach for Android
I work across iOS, Mac, Windows, and Linux for work and personal so iCloud is less than ideally. I’m surprised there isn’t support for other cloud providers and/or WebDAV
I am looking into iCloud as a solution and it may work better than I expected. Might not work for company data, but thanks for the reminder that it’s an option!
