According to Kyodo News, trading on the Osaka Exchange was temporarily halted on April 7th after a sharp decline triggered a "circuit breaker" for Nikkei index futures. The Nikkei Stock Average in Tokyo fell by over 2,000 points, dropping below the 32,000 mark.
