Thinking damus should show a #zap “charge level” which is your remaining balance in zaps with some target amount, perhaps your all-time high? This would give you a good idea if you’re zapping too much and when you should chill.
Discussion
Could we have a zap history also on Damus? And a high-score table? 🤔
High score table can be gamed by people zapping back and forth. Gamification will lead to something similar to gambling addiction, and will result in some people taking advantage of others. Also, a scoring table will make rich people seem better than poor people because they have more sats to zap.
Yeah, now that you say it… It was bad recommendation.. 😅💜
Thank you for the explanation though, made me rethink this quite a lot ❤️⚡️
Dope. Zapaholics would appreciate this.
gauging is always good idea!
Would be cool! maybe add an additional confirmation prompt for zaps over a certain threshold too? To prevent an accidental large zap
I think its an ok idea but that info needs to remain private and users should not see others balances
This is private info, you get balance info via nip47 which are encrypted end to end and don’t use your main key.
Nice, after some quick research it sounds like the ability to link a ln wallet to a nostr client sounds like a no-brainer. However the way i understood what you said was that the users "zap level" would be like something on their profile
no it’s just in your client, only you can see it
What about a daily limit you could set in settings?
#zap amount selectooor
I'd #zap way more #zap s if I didn't have to to go 3 menus deep to change the amount.
🤔
Chill? Da hell?
Good idea
What are your thoughts there? Should these be app specific balances? e.g. that I can configure a balance/budget/etc. in Damus that I then can use.
Is the total wallet budget there really helpful?
Or when users are able to specify a budget for each app, should the balance be related to that budget?
The most important thing is “how much zappable sats are there” so damus can know when your barrel is empty.
