Putin isn't going to those countries now. If he did, he would get arrested. And how would Russia respond to his arrest? There is no response that wouldn't be terrible for both sides. So of course Putin will simply not go there.

in ‘21 he had two international trips, in ‘22 - nine. how many of them to the countries he can’t visit anymore? i’ve counted one (correct me if i’m wrong tho)

Russia had already responded by having a bunch of crying-like official statements (even i got tired of reading it in pretty much every russian media)

deescalation probably will happen on “neutral” territories as Turkey or China (he still can visit both).

the worst thing is that he will use this situation as a proof of how “the west is bad” and etc.

as far as i know ppl are just hoping for “snuffbox way” resolution (emperor Pavel I was murdered with it by his own guards/officers) 🧐

so we just hope for our elites to divide in order to get any changes but as it seems it’s not an answer – your elites are fighting too hard and sometimes even the ordinary/common people get hurt 😔

Interesting how we both see what is wrong in our own governments, but not as clearly what is wrong in other governments.

I don't support Putin, but I do expect him to act somewhat rationally, at least not trapped in a cult-like moral mass delusion like the West is trapped in. Every leader in the West has to prove how moral they are in order to stay in the club, and so they do these dysfunctional things to signal morality. It's very cultish.

My father's family came from Ukraine. Odessa. German farmers. Great grandparents killed around 1905-1910 time period by Russians apparently when they protested taxes (AFAIK Katherine had promised them autonomy). So the remaining family left to the USA.
