First and foremost, the invention of the printing press undermined the power of the catholic church which was the most powerful institution in Europe at the time. They were denying people direct access to god and forced them to pay to redeem their sins. Martin Luther’s bible and the printing press decentralized access and significantly weakened this corrupt regime.

#Bitcoin is doing the same but for central banks and governments.
