I just finished the audiobook "King Rat" by James Clavell, about life within a POW camp in Singapore during World War II. It was an excellent listen that showcased human endurance and celebrated friendship and camaraderie beyond social hierarchies and cultural barriers. This book is the fourth in the Asian Saga (ordered by internal chronology), which explores the story of Westerners in Asia throughout the ages. I highly recommend this book (and the whole series, starting with the epic "Shogun") to anyone interested in historical fiction and riveting storytelling. #books #bookstr
