Just had a friendly convos with a nice old lady (late 60'- early 70 y/o) that was at the park walking her dog about #btc

It began with "oh, yeah didn't it crash with that guy in the news yesterday (meaning SBF)?"

That was my opening.

By the end of the conversation, at a minimum she understood:

1- The difference between #BTC and #Crypto

2 - People who understand the true value of #BTC were not impacted by SBF/FTX because they self-custody

3 - While some people do "invest" in #BTC for me it's an alternative to my traditional bank savings account and not so much an "investment".

In the end there was an understanding and she confirmed it by disclosing to me that her sister in law sold her business a few years ago to someone who bought it with #btc

The conversation was less then 15 minutes and I suspect it will be the highlight of my day. We'll see.
