1) virtue signal
2) apply “sanctions” - i.e. ban trade with 🇷🇺
3) oligarchs, and middlemen profit
4) exporters and their goods become less competitive

Based on the reality of Germany, I can assume that most of these GmbH companies that are doing or have started doing these exports are founded by russians. It's terrible. Where are the Germans looking!
I dont know the details. Usually in these situations middlemen are neither EU, nor Russians - e.g. Kyrgyzstan, Turkey etc
