Sure but what about the themes against materialism and Tyler's vision of wearing furs amongst the overgrown remains of skyscrapers in a post collapse world.

It didn't seem to me like he wanted to tear it down just to build a "fair" version.

They did live on Paper street though 😁

Against materialism, or against mindlessly following the norm without considering if that is what you want for yourself?

Yes materialism specifically. "The stuff you own ends up owning you."

But sure there are nonconformist themes as well.

I never took that as against owning things, only to be thoughtful and selective about the things you choose to own.

Tyler is a homeowner and a successful business owner. Why if you should be ascetic?

Most bitcoiners become more frugal after discovering bitcoin. I still think stacking sats would be Tyler approved. I think he would want an ascetic detox period when orange pilled.

That's basically what I mean by anti materialism. I don't think it was a socialist/communist message about owning nothing. We appear to agree about this point.

What I'm trying to say is that bitcoin is a means to an end. For some that end is freedom. For others it's yin yang coffee tables. I just don't think Tyler would stack sats for sats sake which is what the meme seems to suggest.

The words hoard and buy are antonyms.

I'm hoarding for now. I'll buy when I need to. Only after careful consideration if I need it and can't get it with fiat instead.
