Do you really think being a physician means never looking up information? Lol Dude, medicine changes so fast that a fuck ton of time is spent reading through the literature or seeing what's out there regarding particular issues. There will be new knowledge published this month that I won't know until I go looking for it online. Probably a lot of information. You tend to remember a lot of universal basic stuff after working in healthcare for a while, but no one remembers everything. I frequently watch refresher videos for various procedures before doing them. That's called being a good healthcare provider. The arrogant ones are those who think they know everything and end up causing harm.
You should consider it a good sign if a provider sits with you and does research. It probably means they want to build a relationship and include you in the process. Most go out of the room to do the same thing because of this sort of attitude. All you're really doing is wasting time and harming the bond.
