Not hearing any audio. Trying to check if it's on my end.

It’s your end.

You're right. I put the link in my browser and t works. I'll check it out tonight. Finally time for class! I just got a digital copy of 'A Book of Abstract Algebra, Second Edition'. Gonna take an hour to do some math this weekend.

Thank you! 🙏

Who is the author?

Charles C Pinter. It was linked in one of the podcast episode descriptions.

Great book! I read it cover to cover and did many of the exercises

Fun da Mental

Communicative fun in mod 5! I liked it at the end when you point out 12 is 2 :)

12 mod 5 is 2

6 mod 5 is 1

2*2=4

1*4=4

As far as rabbits holes go - THIS IS A FUN ONE

Thanks for watching Gig

Also fun that your matrix of multiplication is a symmetrical square matrix meaning the transpose is identical :) not sure the significance of it, but it's interesting

I think it means it’s Abelian.

{1, 2, 3, 4, 5 } Mod6 example is symmetrical square but not abelian group right?

The Unit Group mod 6 is {1,5} - remember it’s the numbers relatively prime to 6

Nice, and symmetrical :)
