I guess everyone circumstances and situation is different. But I live in the same village for 24 years. I was losing mind tbh. Eventually took a leap of faith moved across the world and I am in much better place mentally, physically and spiritually. For things to change, you need to change your environment.
I bet your parents and childhood friends miss you. You were just too good for them.
