I don’t get the appeal of AI code generation. It automates the trivial and you still need to review it closely for bugs.

That’s nice as long as you know many others around the world do get it.

Automating the trivial is already a big deal, and imho it's more than that.

I’ve found more success in asking it to generate code samples of patterns or frameworks I don’t understand and using that as an accelerator for teaching.

Agreed that having it generate boilerplate or known patterns is just less useful. At least you can just send the PR out and have #[2]​ review it instead for bugs! Less work for you!

That’s a good point. It’s like the Nespresso - not great coffee, but easy for people who aren’t baristas. :D
