Gotcha, so boost is algorithmic?

Nah, just throws the note in the feed in the order it was boosted, I think.

My issue is, likes don't do what they did on Twitter. On there it acted like a kind of retweet and that was fine.

Ok, so a repost basically? If so then no need for it. I'm conflicted on the LIKE debate. I don't want anything algorithmic. I see the purpose for likes that aren't algorithmic. Obviously ZAPS are best but that might be a hurdle for adoption if there are no likes for engagement. 🤷‍♂️

I'm just thinking about the feed and the ability of smaller accounts with quality content to get seen. All a like does here is shows that you have liked it, but doesn't help the content to be seen more.

If the like actually acted like a retweet, then it would allow more people to see the content.

They'd have to make the client combine them though, so you don't end up with lots of the same tweet in your feed. It would just be chronologically in the feed where the latest person liked it. I assume this is possible and its quite transparent as an idea.

Just throwing it out there.

Gotcha, so you're proposing:

Like/Repost Quote Zap

Yep 👍
