It should come as no surprise that tyrants want to limit our freedoms. What is surprising to me is the number of people who are either okay with it, or who have convinced themselves that tyrants don't exist any more.

I'll tell you why: because they think the tyrant is the other party.

That's it. That simple manipulation and you get 70% of the population believing in the system. While you control both parties, of course.
