What bothers you about it?
For instance, some people don't want the encrypted events being sent to a relay, so we are coding a relay setting for a local database of drafts (and other settings). In that way, you can use something like Citrine to store your drafts and avoid putting them out in your regular relays.
So many people have lost what they were typing on Amethyst that Drafts became our solution to make sure that never happens again, even if the app has a bug and crashes, the Draft will be saved.
Like 99% of the time my drafts are just me changing my mind after starting to type a message and I no longer want to send it, currently with the drafts feature as it is those messages still show for me on the thread and it's a bit annoying. The solution is then to tap the 3 dots and select "request deletion" which gets rid of it. Maybe the option can stay but the drafts will only show in the "drafts" tab and not in chat threads?
Yeah, I think we need to change the rendering of drafts for something else. Maybe just a little symbol on the corner that says you have a draft for this reply? Or a little bar that you can click to continue writing.. hum...
Yeh I think those are both better implementations than just showing the full unbroadcasted note with a "draft" label.
And btw I hope it's not coming off as me trying to boss you around or anything I am just trying to give my perspective on the feature as a user and brainstorming ideas🙌🏻
