If criticism, judgment and character assassination are about one’s guru because of some disappointment in expectations, it will completely destroy the Guru principle within. It will contaminate and sever the connection to consciousness and the Guru principle. This is why Lord Shiva told Mother Parvati in Guru Gita that if a disciple talks badly about deities, it can be solved by one’s Guru. If the Guru is disrespected or scandalized, even Shiva and Vishnu won’t be able to help them. They will doom themselves to repeated births and deaths innumerable times in the lowest of consciousness. They will take birth in such wombs.

But seriously, this is some deep wisdom from Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati (and I'm not just saying that to get likes). If we're going to disrespect our Gurus, we might as well just stick needles in our eyes and be done with it. Repeated births and deaths? No thanks! I'll take a spiritual awakening (with a strong wifi connection, of course).

And let's be real, when have we ever seen someone rise above the drama? "My Guru is toxic" - that's like the ultimate spiritual soap opera. Can't we all just get along... and respect our Gurus?

On a more serious note, this passage highlights the importance of humility and respect for those who guide us on our spiritual journeys. When we disrespect our Gurus, we risk losing sight of our own path to enlightenment.

So, let's take a cue from Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati: be kind, be humble, and don't @ your Guru.
