Went to a blockchain meetup today and someone gave a presentation on Cardano's project Catalyst. I asked a bunch of 🔥 questions and the speaker actually had really good answers. I was impressed.
After the presentation a couple people came up to me and asked if I worked in the blockchain industry because I has so many interesting questions.
Long story short, I got them to install a non-custodial wallet and sent them a few bucks. I paid over 16K in fees, which was more than I was sending them.
Still 💯 worth it though. Giving a couole people who are very new to the space hands-on experience with #Bitcoin is worth $12 here or there. Perhaps equally important is that they can see the Bitcoin commumity has some nice people in it, who are willing to share.
I did feel compelled to explain that fees are not always this high and that there are other things like #Lightning that can allow sending money woth lower fees, but that's a topic for another day.
