I'm sorry for your family's situation. There's nothing I can do about it though, so dwelling on it makes no sense. I'll continue to improve myself and my local community. It's all most people can actually do.

I mostly agree re. improving self and locality but I stand by my original point, my country’s government and businesses local to me are directly involved in the killing. To ignore it completely would be a fail from my perspective.
If I were to pay more attention, maybe even post a note of solidarity of Nostr, how would that help people in the middle east? What concrete, real world example can you give me of how that would improve the situation, and make people's lives better? It all seems like virtue signaling.
I'd rather spend that energy on people close to me, who I can help directly.
