I suspect in time subscribing to quality relays will be important to reliably get your message out and get the updates from the people you follow without poor performance, spam, etc. Hell I don't know I just like supporting Bitcoin circular economies.
Because I pay 1 time whereas a spammer or a scammer would have to pay again and again and again for every time they get banned
But you see me and I don't pay for a relay?
Ohhhhh, could your relay ban me ND then you'd never see me again? Like they act as your spam filter?
I have free relays turned off for global. I still pull from free relays if you reply to someones post relayed from a paid relay in global, if you're one of the people I follow, or if you reply to someone I follow or if someone I follow reposts your post!
Still a good filter for global though. No shower girl
